Microsoft Office 2013 Now with eFax App for Word

Activities that were once limited to the office and to business hours are now done around the clock and via the cloud. In July 2012, Microsoft (News - Alert) launched its new Microsoft Office, with the new Word 2013 accommodating added features and enhancements that make the software much more functional on tablets and other touchscreen devices. eFax, a provider of online fax services, is taking advantage of this and is making the right move by announcing its first online fax app for Microsoft Word 2013.


The eFax app for Word is a cloud-based tool that allows busy professionals to conveniently send faxes from within Word without the need for a printer or fax machine. Word users can send business critical faxes, POs that stock the shelves or invoices that trigger payments – all while on the move.

eFax is a brand of brand of j2 Global (News - Alert), a provider of provides cloud services. “With the integration of eFax into Microsoft Word 2013, businesses save time and gain mobility,” Mike Pugh, vice president, marketing of j2 Global said in a statement.

With the eFax app for Word, busy professionals are able to move to a paperless office with time and resource-efficient features that make it easy to send, store and access documents.

The eFax app for Word appears in a task pane on the right, and can also be downloaded directly from the Office Store. The app is simple to download and can be used with existing eFax subscriptions or an available free 30-day trial.

eFax also provides the ability to send and receive faxes via e-mail or the Web using any Internet-connected mobile phone, tablet or laptop.

The eFax branded service is reputed in the fax business, with a string of technology and business firsts dating back to 1996.

According to the 2012 survey from the American Bar Association's Legal Technology Resource Center, 38 percent of lawyers have already migrated to laptops as primary computers. eFax reported that it understands the critical business needs of on-the-go legal professionals and provides the ability to send, receive and manage faxes from anywhere.
