GL Communications (News - Alert) Inc., a supplier of test, monitoring and analysis equipment for TDM, Wireless, IP and VoIP networks, has revealed its enhanced T1 E1 Analysis suite of product line. Easily configured as DTE or DCE to test Channel Service Units (CSUs) and Data Service Units (DSUs), the Datacom Emulator/Analyzer supports V.24, V.35, V.36, X.21, RS-449, RS-485, EIA-530, and EIA-530A interfaces.
GL's CAS (Channel Associated Signaling) Analyzer, for example, supports monitoring and decoding of CAS signaling events over T1 E1 networks. Speaking on these enhancements, Mr. Vijay Kulkarni, GL CEO, said in a statement. "Our T1 E1 Analysis suite of products continues to provide the most comprehensive analysis and emulation capability of any product on the market. Any traffic over T1 E1 lines including voice, fax, modem, signaling, mobile, IP, VoIP, ATM, and more is addressed."
The real-time analysis is used to capture data on one or multiple T1 E1 lines on specified timeslot simultaneously during transmission. Additionally, the MAPS – a multi-purpose protocol emulation platform – can now be configured as a server application to enable remote application control via multiple command-line based clients. Supported clients include C++, TCL, Python and others.
GL's test platforms provide visualization, capture, storage, and convenient features like portability, remotability and scripting. The company’s FXO port on tProbe allows simulation of a two-wire FXO device such as a telephone or a fax machine, ultimately enabling users to capture and analyze data from a two-wire telephone line, as well as to generate and transmit analog voice or data onto that two-wire line.
